Tichon sits directly on New Bedford's waterfront, so product moves off the vessel and into our HACCP-certified facility without delay. With three offloading bays we handle small day boats and large offshore vessels alike, and because we produce our own ice on site, temperature control starts the moment product comes off the boat.

Ice Service

Two North Star industrial flake ice machines produce an average of 40 tons of sub-cooled flake ice daily, backed by 100 tons of on-site storage. Flake ice covers product more evenly than tube ice and won’t dent sensitive product, so it cools fast without damaging appearance. We supply it in carts and totes.

Two large cold storage freezers make Tichon a Massachusetts-licensed cold storage facility with capacity beyond 2,000,000 lbs. Whether you need short-term or long-term storage, our freezer team tracks every customer's inventory closely, and simple call-ahead scheduling keeps pickup and drop-off efficient.
